cavs win tonight 98 to 07 against the raptors
Damon Jones hit a three at the buzzer
I guess paying him 4 million a year to win us one game is worth it
Lebron 35-6-6
four starters in double figures
And somewhere in Toronto, Canada, Damon Jones is giving a couple of "fuck you"s.
"Fuck you Cleveland fans for booing me and not believing in me."
"Fuck you Miami for booting me and not believing in me."
"Fuck you shooting stroke. Where have you been?"
"And fuck you lying accusation bitch. You know it was consensual."
Who was complaining when they announced Brown put Jones in instead
of Murray? Anyone?
Even if Jones misses that shot, LBJ did the absolute best thing again, in that situation. He had 3 guys on him.
I also noticed that celebration by the whole team. They acted like they had just won a playoff series. It was great to see.

Jones' shot gets win

<!-- begin body-content -->TORONTO - Publicity rarely makes a 180-degree swing like it has for Damon Jones in the past 48 hours.
The Cavaliers guard wasn't about to be drawn into a conversation regarding his emotional highs and lows Wednesday night. Jones vowed only that his concentration would remain on his job in these turbulent personal times.
He proved it in the most dramatic manner, hitting a 3-point basket at the buzzer to lift the Cavaliers to a 98-97 victory over the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre. Jones took a pass in the deep right corner from LeBron James and buried the game-winner to silence a sellout crowd of 19,800 fans.
It was the Cavs' only 3-point basket of the second half.
It gave the Cavaliers (36-26) their fourth consecutive win and Jones a momentary reprieve from the unflattering headlines attached to his name. Jones is facing sexual-assault allegations made by a 23-year-old Arizona woman.
Police in two states are investigating the woman's complaint. Jones maintains his innocence and believes he will be vindicated when the case concludes. Jones has not been charged with a crime.
He said the investigation and the publicity surrounding it have not become a distraction. After sitting for more than eight minutes, he came off coach Mike Brown's bench and hit the biggest shot of his brief career with the Cavaliers.
``My focus is always going to be on basketball,'' said Jones, who signed as a free-agent in the offseason. ``That's my No. 1 goal, that is my No. 1 job. That's how I feed my family. Anything else I take in stride and I deal with when it comes about.''
Jones was brought to Cleveland in hopes of bolstering one of the NBA's worst 3-point shooting teams. He has struggled throughout the season and drawn the ire of fans.
But James, who scored 35 points and distributed six assists, said he never hesitated to pass to Jones after drawing a double-team in the lane. James took a perimeter feed from Eric Snow and drove hard to the basket.
Seconds earlier, Morris Peterson had given the Raptors a 97-95 lead with a 3-point shot.
``(Jones) has been criticized at times,'' James said. ``I have never lost confidence in him.''
It was the second time in four games the Cavs won on a buzzer-beating shot set up by James. Flip Murray beat the Chicago Bulls 92-91 with 3-pointer a week ago.
``LeBron James is a tremendous flippin' basketball player,'' Brown said. ``He knows how to play the game. I don't care if he takes the last shot... he is going to make the right decision nine out of 10 times.''
The Cavs trailed by six with 2:04 to go, but strong defense and clutch foul shooting allowed them to rally. James and Anderson Varejao combined to go 5-for-5 on free throws.
The Cavs made a couple of key stops on Peterson (30 points) and Mike James (31 points) to give them a chance to get back in it. But Peterson was wide open behind the 3-point arc to score with 4.8 seconds left.
Brown was proud that Jones was able to rescue his team. The coach did not directly address Jones' off-court situation; however, he knows what Jones has been experiencing the past few days.
``The guy obviously has stayed focused no matter what has gone on,'' Brown said. ``For him to come off the bench and let that thing go right at the buzzer shows me that he's intent on helping our team win, he's focused on his job and he's hungry to get us where we need to go.''
How about you go screw yourself.
IMO this is a team that has intense streaks... cold and hot... for a couple weeks at a time...
I have mixed feelings.. I almost wish we'd get the cold streak out of our sys soon.. so when the playoffs start, the hot one kicks in... maybe we can get to round 3 if that happens .. but then again, if we hit the cold too long.. and we end up at #7 or 8.. and have to face Miami or Detroit round 1.. could be an early game-set-match
Well when/if we get Larry back, I don't think we will see those cold streaks as much.
I think alot of that has to do with settling for too many jumpers and with Flip and Larry on the court we will be going to the hole more.
My only thing is I ? this 8 man rotation that Brown is using.
It could really tire us out during the stretch run. I would like to see Sasha get some minutes, along with Henderson, even if it is only 10-15 but we are going to need them in a playoff series and he isnt playing them right now.
