They would probably decide that when his next 10 day expires. If he continues to show improvement, I would expect they would. Aside from getting punked by Duncan a couple of times inside, he's been pretty good.
He drives decently to the hoop, something that neither Snow or Jones do very effectively.

Gotta beat the Celts, tonight.

If I was another Eastern team in the playoff hunt and had an extra spot on my roster I would consider signing Graham for the rest of the season right now to get him out of Cleveland. If he plays the 10 days after the All-Star break/rest of the season like he's played in the past few game he is really going to help the Cavs. His first 10 day contract runs out today, and the Cavs won't sign the second one until after the break. I would assume that would leave him out there for anyone else to sign to a real contract in the mean time.
If the Cavs can avoid the second half slump, like what happened last year, and hold the 4th playoff spot I would hate to play them in the playoffs if Hughes gets healthy. I'm sure he would be rusty, but if he is completely healthy and fresh going into the playoffs it would give them a nice boost, especially on D.
I still think the Cavs should pursue a trade if it would give them a decent PG. It sounds like Seattle will look to unload Fortson so the Cavs could probably trade Gooden for a PG and trade a lesser player (Newble) and a 2nd round pick for Fortson. That's probably just me hoping.
First up the Cavs need to beat the Celtics tonight to go into the All-Star break strong.

Can anyone explain to me with all the doctors out there how it is going to take 18 weeks to recover from a broken thumb that he was able to play with for a month to start out the season.

It's his middle finger and one of the 3 pins they put in it got dislodged and damaged the healing process. They had to undo the damage and put the pins in correctly this time.

It is still a damn finger. Wrap it up and go play.

Look on the bright side. The other moves the Cavs made this off season should make them strong enough to make the playoffs this season even without Hughes. This injury is actually helping some of the Cavs players become better i.e. Pavlovic. As long as Hughes can get to 100% by the end of the season it shouldn't hurt the Cavs very much. LH can still run and stay in shape so he should be ready to go when he gets back. It will be nice if he can get healthy in 8 weeks rather than 10 so he can play the last 2 weeks of the season to knock off the rust.

I'm guessing the 18 weeks is including the botch job done the first time.

Regarding the 10 day contract, I think the Cavs have until the game after the first 10 day contract expires to either re-sign him to a second, release him or sign him for the rest of the season. A player can only be signed to 2 10-day contracs by the same team in a season. After that, they either have to sign him for the rest of the season or lose him. Most , if not all 10 day contracts are signed on the day of a game, in order to maximize their investment. Some notable NBA 10 day contract players are Earl Boykins (twice signed to 2 10 day contracs by the Cavs in consecutive seasons--GRRRRR), Bruce Bowen, Anthony Mason,Jeff McInnis and Kurt Rambis. Lets hope Stephen Graham gets added to the notable list and not the who? list. The bottom line is we'll know soon if he'll be here for the remainder of the season or not.

Yeah I have no problem with what is going on with the team. I actually love the fact that these guys are getting pt, but now would be such a great time to get Hughes back for the stretch run. It isnt like he has played alongside these guys very much.

Lebron started off on fire in the first few minutes.

He always plays his best against Boston, probably because he hates Paul Pierce. Remember when he spat in his face?

Yeah very good match up going on so far. We have 28 points in about 10 minutes already. I think if we can slow down Boston somewhat we could roll tonite. Happy to see us actually come out playign hard tonite.
