Cavs 09-10 Season (official thread)

Then look at what happened.

I also watched that same Cavs team last year give up double digit leads in the 1st half of games 1 & 2 against Orlando. - They got up big then got complacent. If they build upon or protect those leads then it would have been a completely different series.

Nice travel, Shaq.

I like-
LeBron getting an offensive board. If he wants this game, it's his.

I don't like-
Jamison's D on the pick-n-roll. A lot of defending Rondo depends on the defender guarding the screener, not just the man on the ball. Jamison has looked bad against Rondo and Pierce.

Hmm, I still find it disconcerting how laid back LeBron comes out of the gate. I understand getting others involved, but still, I think he has too much confidence in his game and ability to take on this Celtics team (a very good defensive team). It's not just a flip of a switch (maybe it is).

After game 3 he said:
"We haven't had consistent play in the playoffs. We've just played well enough to win and we don't want to just play well enough to win. I can play the lay-back role a little more at home, wait to the second half, wait to the fourth quarter to close the games out."

I'm just...not...sure...I like that. He can single-handily put this team away, home or away. He needs a little better killer-instinct no matter where he's at. Not this laid-back, wait til later style.

Oh well, up 3 after 1.

NBA basketball - moreso than any other game or league - is the place where you really can put a team away at the beginning of the game. Even a team with great, experienced players like the Celtics will quit on a game if they get hit in the mouth early. That's why I agree that the "laid back" approach is a little bewildering right now. That's OK for the regular season, but not right now.

LeBron being aggressive just opens a whole new level of opportunities. He has to recognize this laid-back style and letting others do the work hampers the team.

They look like poor really. They play so dumb when he's just out there to pass/on the bench now. Also, no more Shaq in the post tonight.
