LBJ- no brainer, but
Kapono, Boozer, B Haywood, J Crawford and Andre Miller all turned out to be pretty decent players.

Of course, they also drafted Shannon Brown, Luke Jackson , D Wagner and my personal favorite: Trajan Langdon.

andra miller yes.
boozer yes.
kapono - ehh.
haywood - yes, except they traded him for michael doleac.
crawford - ok, but they traded him for chris mihm.

so, in the even that they drafted a good player, they pretty much traded him for garbage before he ever played for them.

Unfortunately none of the 5 good picks were with the team for long.
Just for fun lets try the prefect draft:
2002: 1st - Amare, Nene, Chris Wilcox, Caron Butler, or Prince 2nd Boozer (great pick)
2003: 1st - Lebron 2nd - Kapono wasn't bad, but knowing what I know now I'd take Mo Williams
2004: 1st - Jameer Nelson or Al Jefferson
2005: 1st - this wasn't a bad year not to have either pick
2006: 1st - Jordan Farmar 2nd - Boobie
2007: 1st - (if Jiri Wesch never existed) Rudy Fernandez, Alando Tucker, or Carl Landry

If I learned anything from this the NBA draft is a huge crap shoot especially if you don't have an early pick. Maybe the Cavs are lucky to have 3 good players that they drafted in the past 6 years.

I think they'll re-sign Andy.

Then, they move into the LeBron II era(2010) with a core of:

LeBron 26
Mo 28
Andy 28
Boobie 24
JJ 22
Delonte27
Darnell 25 (if still around)

Not a bad core. Plug in some depth with a big and a big 2 and they should have a decent team for a while.

If Lebron sticks around it will be because we sign either Dwade, Bosh, or Amare. To go along with the rest of those guys on your list. It is very important to resign Andy.

Nah. There's no way they sign any of those guys before they get LBJ signed, unless he talks to the players first. DWade is not leaving Miami.

If they can win a ring in the next 2 years, he stays regardless if any of those guys sign here.

Shit West has a broken wrist to go with the cut over his eye. If that's a 6 week injury they are going to need to make a move to add a 2. Only problem both pieces they have to trade are their backup 2's and Snow's contract. My guess if West is out for an extended period Brown will move Pavs into the starting lineup to keep the bench intact, much like starting Wright for Ben to keep Hickson coming off the bench. This isn't a good part of the season to be missing rotation guys especially starters.
