Capital One Bowl: Georgia 24, Mich St 12 (Final)

That should wrap that game up for the Dawgs....I thought MSU played pretty decently. There were at least 3 no calls, the missed late hit on Hoyer after he slid, the missed block in the back on the subsequent punt return by Georgia, and the holding on the two point conversion.

A good year for Sparty all things considered. If they would have had a decent consistent QB they could have been a much better team this year.

Damn for being the best RB in college football Moreno is sure putting up some impressive rushing yards today against a slower Big 10 team.:roll1::roll1::roll1: 20 ATT for 54 yards(2.7 ypc) and 0 rushing TD's.

What did Beanie do against MSU? 31 caries for 140 yards (4.5 ypc) and 2 TD's.

Don't bad mouth Moreno... he's the #1 rated running back in the draft!
Good efforts by both MSU and NU... both teams up against better opponents. Sadly, the B10 bashing can continue, despite the woodshedding the Hawkeyes gave the cocks.
Meanwhile, it'll be love all around for the Big East with impressive victories over powerhouses like Memphis, NC State and probably Buffalo. They might even win the Bowl Challenge Cup. :roll1:

As for the bashing, Penn State and Ohio State can shut that up with 2 BCS wins. If we both fail, we probably deserve to be bashed.

+1 for most of this - I hate even having to bring up the BLeast.

i'll say this though. big ten has had gotten some good up-and-coming coaches (case in point: mark dantonio). Richt has always done a good job putting a competitive GA team on the field, and he is already a proven commodity. give dantonio 1-2 more years, he will bring the spartan to national stage. just wait.

I'll give them this: the crowd hasn't started chanting SEC yet. Hopefully they realize just how crappy Georgia has looked and keep their traps shut for the rest of the game.

Yeah, that'll happen.

Well I personally feel MSU isn't a good team what so ever. So the fact that they were atleast competitive in this game speaks Volumes about where the program is headed.

I think Hoyer is a liability, the oline is slow, the secondary (minus Wiley) is dreadful, and the WR's leave much to be desired. Personally I don't feel the depth is there at all this year in the big ten which is why MSU was able to get into this bowl game.

I can't wait for the day that all OSU, PSU, WISC, Illinois, scUM, NW, and MSU are all great teams. Because to be honest there's no reason why OSU/PSU/UM shouldn't be among the best, and WISC/Ill/NW/MSU all have the tools to be eventual great teams as well.

IMO, the outlook for the conference is extremely bright but not so much this year.

yeah, Moreno only also had 6 catches for 60 yards and 1 touchdown.

He clearly sucks. 140 total yards for Wells, 124 yards for Moreno.

The sad truth. They have some good young players, but they aren't nearly as good as they should be in a few years.
