Call of Duty: Black Ops Multiplayer Trailer

Multiplayer is a ton of fun. The killstreaks aren't that dominant (at least on early levels). Gunships show up a 0-3 times per round but don't dominate the game, and most of the killstreaks are simply UAVs.

The volume of perks and unlockables is a lot of fun. Watching them release attack dogs on the opposition was something else (especially since it was at a ski slope).

Thanks jwins. Anyone that gets this for PC, could you kindly do a review for me please? :)

I only buy games for the xbox or ps3 that I can't get on the PC...

Sure. The texture's aren't awesome if you ask me. I hope you have a dedicated server or above average machine if you plan to host any games.
Character models are your default look, unless you can customize them? I haven't played but an hour or so before I had to get things done.

The zombies extension is pretty challenging, farthest I've gotten with a random group is 7 rounds.

I agree with Jwins, doesn't have the feel of a "realistic" shooter. Tons of run n gun. More arcade style and the hit box just feels....wrong. Head-shots aren't always registered even if you land them.

I found I get better performance if I'm not using the latest cat 10.10 drivers. (ATI only comment) However AMD was kind enough to release a hotfix for the 10.10 which included their morphological AA. That's a bit technical and problem wasn't needed to get my point across, but details are always nice.

I've been having some multi-player connection issues so far that aren't limited to myself. Game runs through Steam so I'm sure the high volume of use plus being a new product means we'll be hearing about an update/patch or quick fix soon.

So far I haven't been disappointed though. Single player is pretty intense. The lighting and environments are done very well.

I'd say give it a shot myself.

On the 360, the maps are a lot more diverse and detailed, but not as realistic.

It's harder to comment on the hit-box using sticks instead of a mouse, but it is a fast-paced fragfest. It fills a different niche from Medal of Honor imo, as well as Battlefield BC2 (though closer to that).

The customization blows MW2 out of the water, but the actual graphical models are behind both MoH & BFBC2 by a good bit.

Having a lot of trouble getting friends into my parties. Sometimes it takes 15 minutes for them to finally get to join. This is not limited to myself and I only have two friends out of about seven or eight who have not had this problem.

Ever since the new dashboard was installed this has been an issue. Private chats and whatnot. So it's not the game I suppose.

Thanks!

I'm running an AMD 965, GTX 260 and 8 gigs RAM.

I cannot join friends from the XBL or COD menu, even when they are just in the pre-game lobby.

Invites work most of the time (and instantly), though it booted us out of the lobby twice yesterday and invites had to be resent.

We didn't have any trouble in either of our offseason party chats for NCAA...
