Last year's release was the first COD game I had ever bought, and I picked up on it pretty well. They seem to do a pretty good job of matching you up with players of similar ranks/skill levels and progressing from there as you become more accomplished. You'll always have one or two people in each match who seem to destroy everyone because they either spend way too much time playing the game, or they take the time to learn and exploit the glitches. Then they talk shit and I have to explain to them that I know what it's like to have sex with a woman.

I had no prior experience whatsoever--I just bought it because a few of my friends who have moved for jobs, family reasons, etc, were all buying it and it was the next best way of everyone getting together, as ridiculous as that sounds.

Exactly. It completely destroys any balance in the game, and instead multiplies the problem with dominant, cheap kills.

I'll pick it up for a few days from Blockbuster, but like always, I'm sure the kill streak stupidity will ruin the rest of the game's greatness.

I've only seen one or two gunships/chopper gunners, fwiw.

Seems a little bit more difficult to stream together that many kills in Black Ops.

The kills you receive during the kill streak don't count towards the next kill streak, if that makes sense.

I'm playing it now and I enjoy it a lot more than MW2, which I find unplayable. The maps alone make it much better than MW2. Not as many noob toobs(still the occasional prick with an rpg or rocket launcher), no danger close, no one man army, and no stopping power. Then again I enjoyed WaW, same developer, so if you didn't enjoy that game you probably will not enjoy this one. Treyarch really tried to listen to the complaints made on MW2 WaW and other CoD games.

Also, the Ballistic Knife and the RC killstreak are a lot of fun. O and instead of a throwing knife its a tomahawk lol. You start off with either a shotgun, mp5k(submachine gun very jumpy, which I used in MW2 and currently use here), Dragonav (auto-sniper), or M16 (3round burst rifle).

A few chapters into the single player mode...

It is like one of those plastic gun arcade games where you shoot everything that moves, and with far too much auto aim.

The maps are a lot more diverse and developed, but it feels like an arcade shooter, not like the realism of medal of honor. Very different games.

Will post my thoughts on multiplayer later after I've tried that mode.
