2029 CA WR Austin Miller is a Buckeye!!!

Big boom coming today for the potential #1 overall player in the '29 class in WR Austin Miller. That combined with a potential strong '28 class, and a loaded '26 class that we just signed, plus Jamier Brown, alleviates a lot of pressure to add any other top target for this '27 class. Still hope we land Wong though.

Welcome to the family Austin! Hankton just got his version of JJ/CHjr type of talent with a similar combination of size and speed. Ill refrain from making comparisons just yet, but for those unfamiliar with this kid and think hes just young, hes the real deal! And he can be either JJ or CHjr, hes that good. He'll make everyone forget about missing on Sales in 2027. Miller is predict will be a top 5 overall recruit in the class. Top 10 at worst

Something to think about while Buckeye nation has to suffer for almost 30mos until he can officially sign. Miller’s dad is his HSHC, and the guy is a former NFL scout. This commit will stick, imo. And I don’t see many games played. The family knows where they want Austin to go and Austin knows where he wants to go. The family isn’t going to be money hungry and are looking out for Austin’s future. Especially if JJ goes in the top 3 next year and CHjr goes top 10 soon after

Re: The family isn’t going to be money hungry

Just sayin': I'll guess that...
1. Ohio State promised him a fair NIL package per whatever the "going rate" is in 2029 for a recruit of his abilities, etc.
2. the family knows the value of a college education and can rest assured that his college will be paid for by Ohio State. Even if there is an unfortunate unforeseen event where he is unable to continue playing football in three years, Ohio State will honor the scholarship offer.

Height: 6'5"
Weight: 200 lbs
As a freshman at Bellflower High School, Miller caught 35 passes for 609 yards and eight touchdowns while adding 883 rushing yards and 13 scores on the ground. He also made an impact as a defensive back, recording 36 tackles, eight tackles for loss, four sacks, four pass breakups, one forced fumble and a fumble return touchdown.
He’ll be a top recruit in the 2029 class regardless of position

FWIW, I found this: "Austin Miller, the highly touted 6-foot-5, 200-pound class of 2029 athlete and Ohio State recruit from Bellflower, CA, has been clocked with a 4.50 to 4.54 second 40-yard dash. Despite his imposing size, his track speed and explosiveness also translate into a quick 4.29-second shuttle and an 11.47-second 100-meter dash."

Just sayin': The young man is probably only 15 years old. I will be interesting to see how much he grows between now and 2029.
