Givler just said he feels strongly that OSU lands Davison
Very interested to see how that plays out with our two RBs in Ohio in '25, both of which have "OFFERS" imo (Jackson and Davis)...but admittedly I would have Davison over both and by a decent margin. Could definitely see a scenario where Davison and one of Jackson/Davis wind up being our '25 RB class.

Giver said that the staff has Jackson over Davis on their board. But I’m sure the staff would be ecstatic with Davison and either 2!

Ohio State has always been a school to watch in Davison’s recruitment because he has loved watching
Ezekiel Elliott
throughout his career but Texas is also making a major move for the Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei standout. Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Michigan, USC, Tennessee and Florida State round out his early front-runners.

“I was actually an Ohio State fan growing up,” Davison said in June after attending an OSU recruiting camp. “So I always knew about the big tradition of the running backs at OSU. I know a lot about (OSU running back) coach Tony Alford, he’s been here for nine years and with all the backs he’s developed, it shows.”

“My first time watching a college football game it was an Ohio State game,” Davison said. “The stickers on the helmet really stuck out to me. I think they were playing Michigan or Michigan State.”

“There’s a lot of current guys I look up to,” Davison said. “Miyan Williams, Treveyon Henderson, Evan Pryor when he’s healthy. Some guys from the past, Eddie George, Ezekiel Elliott, Archie Griffin, there’s a great history with backs here. I love the work ethic (of the three current OSU backs). Coach Alford talks to me about them all the time. They’re not regular guys, they love to compete. That’s why I’m big on Ohio State so much, coach Ryan Day is big on competing.”

Ok ok, I see why some folks like our chances here. Really good kid and appreciates the current and past players at RB here. Definitely my favorite target at the RB position for '25, but also probably about every school in the country. Looks like we have a great early leg up though with him already being an OSU fan and the relationship with Alford. Add him to the RB haul in '24 and whew, that is going to be a talented RB room.
