2027 CA QB Brady Edmunds is a Buckeye!!!

If it has, I'm sure Day has told him not to do it. It can severely mess up his development. And there's no need for him to rush the process. Guys who are reclassifying are doing mainly to fast start their NIL earnings. Brady doesn't strike me as the kid that needs to do that and can work on his craft in a HS environment a little longer

Yeah I’m hoping not either. Ewers rushed into college and it threw off his development to the point that he might drop to the 3rd.

I cant fault people for wanting their money, especially if they’re in tough situations, but talented QBs desperately need natural growth and as many practice and game reps as they can stomach. Either that or manifest the athletic profile of Anthony Richardson.

Agreed. And while we used to joke about kids reclassifying in the opposite direction, candidly… I think it’s a far better option for most than to go early. Few kids are physically, mentally and emotionally ready to make such a jump at that age. Heck, think of how many kids don’t make it who aren’t balancing the demands of being a D1 athlete.
Yeah, my wife graduated from HS early, and though she wasn't a D1 athlete. She said the process stunted her maturity in college. I can't imagine the maturity aspect, then leaving home for an extended amount of time for the 1st time in their lives, figuring out how to be a student and then still dealing with the social aspects of being an OSU football player.

That's kind of anecdotal. I mean, I graduated with my correct class and my maturity has been stunted for 40+ years. I don't think that first year after HS had much to do with it to be honest.
