He’s actually visiting this weekend, but I just didn’t post it because I didn’t see OSU as a realistic option.Saw in another post (another place) that this OL is trending towards Alabama. Might be so, but one has to understand that Carmel High School is one of the very elite HS in nation. Heck, with the AP classes there, he could be at least a sophomore. Ergo, unless Alabama has channeled more money into their teaching staff, then doubtful that Jackson would consider that university. That sort of stuff matters to a person with a great HS background. Would suggest that USC, or more probably Stanford would be in the running for this young man. Something has cooled tOSU staff off on this kid, or maybe other way around apparently. Sorry to see that. Go Bucks!
Chip Kelly was the first coach to ever offer OT Jackson Lloyd, back when he was at UCLA.
Tim Drevno, who is now a QC coach at Ohio State, was Lloyd's primary recruiter back then.
We were late to offer Lloyd, but the Kelly - Drevno combo has allowed us to make up a ton of ground in this recruitment."I met the most with Ryan Day, Chip Kelly, Tim Drevno, and Mike Sollene," said Lloyd.
"I liked all of them and my impression of them is that they are huge on developing you, not only as an athlete but as a person."
Why is OSU late to these kids? That can't happen.Per 11w:
Makes sense why OSU now moves into the lead
I don’t think without Kelly that OSU was even in this race tbh. This was always a long shotWhy is OSU late to these kids? That can't happen.
I am glad that OSU is casting a larger net than in the past.I don’t think without Kelly that OSU was even in this race tbh. This was always a long shot
I think the new coaches allowed for that. Without Kelly and Locklyn I doubt you see so many offers going out to west coast and Deep South kids.I am glad that OSU is casting a larger net than in the past.
