Don't think it was for show. Would be a colossal waste of money if so. OSU did everything they could given COVID. Thinks the shine of the Columbus visit probably wore off after some time back in CA and in the end he is making a decision based on comfort and relationships. Al Washington supposedly did all that could be expected but sometimes a coach can't trump geography and family connections.

I am sure there was some legitimate interest, but if you are going to do an announcement you have to have at least two hats.
