2028 CA DB Brandon Nash (Verbal Offer)

2028 S Brandon Nash, Jalen Flowers and Troy Bishop

Matt Guerrieri will host a talented trio of safeties from the state of California this weekend, headlined by Nash. A four-star prospect from one of the nation’s top programs at St. John Bosco High School, Nash is one of Ohio State’s top safety targets in the 2028 class alongside Casey Barner and Gaige Weddle. The Buckeyes appear to be a frontrunner in his recruitment after hosting him for a camp this summer, and they could strengthen that position this weekend.

Bet some vcash that he's taking note of all the PBUs that our DBs enjoyed versus Illinois. Thought I saw a couple of potential picks that maybe coulda been made, but a PBU is also pretty good, methinks. Got the 6-1 6-2 size needed for a good S, don't know about how quick feet or amount of heart, or just Caleb football feel.....Here's hopin' Go Bucks!

As of the beginning of this month, Texas A&M’s insider said Ohio State is still the team with the buzz for Casey Barner behind the scenes. He said the same for Braylon Clark.
I think Georgia wisely knows this which is why they accepted a commitment from Nick Carroll.

Right now I’d say we get Nash and Barner. Not sure if we will take a third.

Penn State reported a month or so ago that they felt Brandon Murphy was also leaning Ohio State. If they take 3, my guess is it is Barner, and 2 of 3 of Flowers, Murphy and Nash.

Adam Gorney said his read on the Brandon Nash situation is that he was dying to commit but Ohio State has others ahead and didn’t want to upset that apple cart.
Birm said his belief is that the safety room has been intentionally set up to pay Barner big money.

I do not think Barner will be the only Safety that Ohio State pays big money for in this class if you look at what we brought in from the 2026 and 2027 classes. Definitely seems like 2028 was intentionally set up for them to spend big NIL on the safety room.
