Again, take it for what its worth, but Oden was in his Bio lecture today. That says to me at least that he hasnt decided yet but who knows.

Even if he leaves I'm sure Matta will ask him to finish out the quarter as to not screw up the APY (not sure if I have those letters correct, but hopefully you know what I mean). I hope this is a sign that he will come back.

Didnt the football juniors who left stop going to class after the national title game?

Moreover, might his absence last week have had a lot to do with travel to and from certain awards ceremonies?

Hate to say it, but every day that passes make me more pessimistic on his staying. What is to decide? He could get better, but he is ready to play at the next level - that is clear. The money will be more than he can count. Seems like it boils down to whether he wants to enjoy another year of college life or is ready to move on. I would think he would know that one way or another without having to "mull it over".

And if he is mulling it over he can't help but think about the money. And once you start thinking about money it has a way of taking control.

The class attendance is a positive sign (not being in class would spell it out very clearly) but Donovan also asked the Florida players to finish out the term.

This is worse than waiting for him to sign the original LOI.

Why worry about things you can't control. Netx year we will have our players new and old and they will wear the scarlet and grey and do just wonderfully. No matter who it is we will cheer them when they win and cry over them when they lose.
I hope he stays too.
btw what he told me personally was ..................:wink2:

I agree with everything but this point. Once he signed that LOI I knew the likelyhood was very high that he was a "one-and-done player". Anything after that one year is pure gravy. So in looking at it in that respect I can't help but smile that a.) Greg Oden was/is a Buckeye whether he turns pro this year or not, b.) look at the effect he had on this one season with his play on the court and the seasons to come by his presence @ tOSU, & c.) there's still a chance that he is coming back for a second year...and that's more than I expected (even pondering the prospect at this point in the year that is) when he did sign his LOI.

They might have, and I'm sure JT would have rather that they stayed on for the rest of the Quarter, or however long they needed to. IIRC Gonzo was going to graduate. It doesn't hurt as much on the football team because 2 out of 80 isn't as bad as 1 or 2 out of 12.
