The pros are beginning to believe Texas' Kevin Durant may stay another year in college but not Ohio State's Greg Oden after his foul trouble in the NCAA tournament and horrible coaching. The consensus is few big men have been more poorly used than Oden in Ohio State's deliberate system, basically putting Oden in foul trouble and not allowing him to use his dominance to start the fast break by rebounding and dishing outlet passes.

Tonight's frontcourt is unlike any other in the nation... OSU can often get away with Terwilliger & Hunter against one big, but handling two giants (horford, noah, richards) at once is a completely different ball game.Taosman;801674; said:We are still a very good team without Greg in there.
We don't need him for the whole game.

Bob Saccamano;802504; said:I love watching Oden shake every member of the opposing team after win of loss, whether it's an OOC game or the NC game. I noticed how Butler and maybe even a few others headed off to the locker room (which is fine, don't get me wrong) and thought it was particularly classy of Greg tonight after playing 38 minutes. Greg is a genuine good guy and showed he has the heart of a champion the way he played tonight and was mad when he sat for 2 minutes.
Greg has done so much for this program in just one year. It'd would be selfish for us to be mad at him for leaving. His post moves tonight were smooth and very effective...one of his up and unders reminded me a little of Tim Duncan, and his blocks off the backboard were very Bill Russellesque.
Who knows, he may not fully turn in to the next Bill Russell or David Robinson, but he will be the only Greg Oden.
Thanks for all the effort and extra pratice when you were injured, Greg. Tonight showed the nation that you really do live up to the hype and won't back down from anything.
Good luck with whatever you decide. I'm sure it will be well thoughtout and the best for you and your family.
