Without his knowledge?!? You seem to imply the players have a right to be the only one at their position or they need to approve roster adds at their spot or something. He was gonna get competition from someone regardless. He had to know they wouldn't just have him at the 5 position. Also, it's not the role of the players to control who else is added to the team. I guess that time Felix announced 3 weeks ago he was "100% committed" to returning to OSU was somehow the fault of the coaches as well in your view.

Exactly what I was thinking. Really seemed to be a symbiotic pairing. They are competing for minutes to some extent, but I was visioning them both being on the court somewhat frequently and pushing each other in practice. I don't think Bradshaw was being brought in to replace Felix is my point.

Might be more to it than that, but the timing makes it feel like the Bradshaw addition pushed Felix away. Bummer to put it mildly for me, Felix was fun to watch and has a lot of upside. Love or hate the portal, it is turning into pro sports where each year I don't even recognize most of my team to start the year.

So far I'm not particularly impressed with the OSU NIL collectives for basketball. They claim they're trying to help work with Diebler to win championships, and can't even help him keep 2 of the 3 top starters on the roster that could have returned. They said they had a deal with Okpara ... maybe their deal making wasn't that great after all. I guess this ultimately falls on the coaches to find good players that the big $ schools aren't after, and do it every year. But Diebler shouldn't have to be replacing Okpara right now. I don't fault Okpara for getting the most $ for himself, but this goes to show you always have to be recruiting because you never know what's gonna happen.
