C.C. Sabathia and Milwaukee Brewers

billmac91

Head Coach
Congrats to the Brewers for clinching the NL Wildcard.

C.C. Sabathia pitched 3 straight times on 3 days rest and threw 2 complete games and got wins in each of the them.

Today, he threw about 120 pitches and a complete game.

Unbelievable.

It'd be nice to see Milwaukee, Minny, or Tampa complete a dream season.

Well, Milwaukee certainly got their money out of C. C. They have probably shortened his career by 2-3 years if not more. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the playoffs after he did so well for Cleveland last year.

I'm hoping that CC helps the Brewers in the playoffs, but with Sheets out I don't think CC can carry them very far by himself. He has done everything and more than they could have hoped for when they traded for him.

Did I miss your sarcasm font? CC tanked in the playoffs last season....

I'll be cheering for all mid-market franchises. Go Brewers, Rays and yes, even the Twins.

It would be nice for C.C. to get a title with a team that had to really go out and earn it, because he'll be playing for some high-priced roster next year.

Yes, it was nice to see the teams with the 3 biggest payrolls did not make the playoffs.

New York Yankees.................. $ 209,081,577
New York Mets....................... $ 137,793,376
Detroit Tigers......................... $ 137,685,196

No you did not miss my sarcasm font. If my memory serves me correctly, I think he lost two times against the Red Sox in the playoffs but please feel free to correct me if I am wrong. You might want to check who the starting pitcher for Cleveland was in games 1 and 5 against Boston before you start talking again.
I think his arm will be alright. I don't think this hurt his career at all.
You may be right that it might not hurt his career but I think it might shorten it a couple seasons. The shoulder can only take so many rotations before the wear and tear kicks in.
