....have you come by to eat crow yet? Amazing a team from the "mid-major" Pac-10 conference beat the shit out of Oklahoma! No doubt even this happening will fall far short of providing a revelatory experience for you. Oh well, some people will never learn.

The conference went 3-2 in bowl games this season nothing really to rave about, though last season the Pac-10 was 5-2 in the bowls.
I am amazed at what seems to be a cottage industry in bashing the Pac-10. Where does all of the vitriol come from? Sure the conference has down years but it also has had many seasons where it is solid and places seven teams in bowls. As to why I tooted USCs horn? Why the hell not, they just won the National Title! Sure you can try that "they play in a weak conference" shit all you want but they just blew away OU! If you think that there is a college team in the country that could have beaten USC tonight then you are smoking something funny!
Furthermore the B10 has not been immune to the ups and downs of college football. I remember that througout the 70's, 80's and early 90's the Pac 10 regularly beat the B10 champion. It was nearly an annual rite of passage for some Pac 10 team to hand Schembechler another Rose Bowl Loss.
Things change. Release your hatred for the Pac-10. It does you no good.

I think BullsFan deserves it...If you are going to stand by an opinion and argue with someone about it, you should be man enough to accept that you were wrong. I've eaten a lot of crow myself. It should be a message board commandment or something :biggrin: .

the reason people have such "vitriol" for the pac-10 is because the shitty teams in the pac-10 (read: everybody but USC) tout it like its the damn super conference to end all super conferences. its no big east....but it aint anywhere near the SEC either. yet every year you get some WSU or stanford fan claiming the pac-10 is great, but east coast bias keeps them down. then they wait till bowl season and say look at our record (ohhhhhh against notre dame, and a pathetic attempt from purdont in the last minute. wow). big fucking deal, the pac-10 still sucks minus USC.

notice, nowhere in there did i take anything away from USC. USC is clearly the best team in the country and would bitch slap anybody else if they play like that every game. but that doesnt mean the pac-10 is any good. take USC and what do you have? the big east. so congrats, youre a step above the big east.
