The stats don’t even tell the tale of some of the plays Allen made today. The 4th down run was clutch. There was the throw back across the middle and the 8 yard flip pass as well.

I wasn’t a Allen fan before, but this performance won me over. Color me impressed with the young man.

The Bills did OK in the 2018 draft.

In retrospect, I'd wager all 6 of those teams wish they'd taken Josh Allen. But, at the time he was considered a risky pick because he didn't put up great numbers in college and didn't exactly fave stiff competition at Wyoming. He was a guy picked almost solely on potential. That's usually a coinflip, but the Bills struck gold.

Absolutely. Josh Allen at Wyoming wasn't very good. He was inaccurate in college, and that trait usually doesn't change for the better when guys move up to the NFL. He obviously has grown as a player, has tapped into his potential & is taking advantage of his physical talent. Nobody knows the future, obviously that's why he wasn't picked #1.

He was far better than Josh Allen in college, just didn't have the upside. Baker was more of the bird in hand pick whereas Allen was the future projection pick.
