Simple, the media will not drop a Florida team from the top 10 unless they have have at least 2-3 losses. They have too much speed to drop like everyone else. Don't distract the media by bringing up the retard QB's and piss poor kickers, Florida speed buys you extra time in the top 10.

Hmm

So if we go undefeated and FSU doesn't loose another game will we ever jump them? Assuming they ass rape their little pussies every weekend and we tough it out in the big ten with only 4-6 point victories. I dont see the media dropping them lower than us unless they loose again. We will have to face that with the new BSC systems we will have to win several games by at least 2 touchdowns.

Everyone in the media knows that if OSU played one of the big bad fast florida schools they would just take us to school. After all they were so right in 2002.

I just have this to say.


I hate the polls and don't like to take them too seriously. We have much bigger fish to fry (like trying to beat ncst) then worrying about the fricking polls.

that being said, however....

florida state being ranked ahead of us is one of the biggest insults to the osu football team that i've ever seen. It can be debated which is worse, that or the fact that we actually FELL in the polls after our 13-7 win over psu 2 years ago when clarett got injured on the first series.

How can the coaches vote Clemson at #25?

Don't they know they gave up 3 TD's in the last 5 minutes to lose to Georgia Tech?

And it's appalling to see FSU ahead of us.

Did I miss something or did we win and florida state lose? The coaches poll seems to have gotten it right, but the AP is a bit clueless...or is this all some sort of dream?

You can only be "ripped off" if someone takes something of value from you. These early polls are of absolutely no value to tOSU. Therefore, no rip-off.

The only polls that are of value will be released in late November 2004 and early January 2005. The first will effect which Bowl tOSU plays in. The second will effect recruiting -- the higher tOSU places, the better our NLOI day signings will be.

I doubt tOSU will be ripped off in either of those, because voters will have had an entire season to judge the team.

Florida St. will lose several games this year. Chris Rix is the ACC's version of Zack Mills, and he will continue to play sub par this season.

In about 3 weeks the polls begin to matter, until then they are mearly entertainment.
