Buckeyes in the draft/NFL Combine

I've been searching around to see if anyone else's was misgraded.

Could you provide any links since I'm having trouble finding some?

The chronology on the previous page (post #86) mentioned that the test wasn't given properly, rather than being misgraded. Remembering the sample Wonderlic tests I've seen in the past, grading shouldn't be too complicated.

But I need to hear more details on what 'improperly given" means. It would seem that they only need to give the guy a copy of the test, a #2 pencil, and a certain amount of time in a quiet room.

Wouldn't you think that his agent would have had him take sample Wonderlic tests over the past 7 weeks? Just like working on the bench press and the 40-yard time.

I can imagine that there's a lot of spin being used now, with millions of dollars at stake for VY.

haha, while looking around for info on VY, I found that besides McNeals lightning fast 4.35 40, he also scored a 41 on the Wonderlic. The HornFans board will soon be bombarded by aggies.

VY score definitely wrong

I thought I read it was more than just VY, but I can't find any links to that. So we'll see whether or not this is just VY's test being conveniently misgraded.

I agree Bill, isn't much of the test Multiple Choice or am I mistaken?

It's a mix of multiple choice and write down a number. Here's ESPN's sample:

espn.wonderlic

There's this blurb from the article Jwins linked:

"There are several different versions of the Wonderlic given, each with its own key for answers. If a wrong key was used, it would obviously hamper the score."

Well now we played if six was nine (or in Vince's case 16) I think its time to get back to the combine.

Some of board leaders in the drills day-by-day ...

Partial copy from same - Mangold's performances showing good speed. Was (I think) the first of the O-linemen to do the 3-cone right the first time.

Running Backs QBs and WRs (February 26th) - LINK
NOTE: Santonio Holmes left the combine, did not go through these drills.
Most talked about player from QBs was Jay Cutler. McNeal's very fast speed showed up well.

Today (February 27th) - Currently only showing the TEs - LINK

Should see AJ's numbers soon enough, he has said he will go through all the drills.

It's a mix of multiple choice and write down a number. Here's ESPN's sample:

espn.wonderlic

I went through the example and got 13 of 15 without stopping, and did so in under 5 minutes. The only two I didn't get were the ones you actually would've probably needed to use pen and paper to work out:

11. In printing an article of 48,000 words, a printer decides to use two sizes of type. Using the larger type, a printed page contains 1,800 words. Using smaller type, a page contains 2,400 words. The article is allotted 21 full pages in a magazine. How many pages must be in smaller type?

13. Three individuals form a partnership and agree to divide the profits equally. X invests $9,000, Y invests $7,000, Z invests $4,000. If the profits are $4,800, how much less does X receive than if the profits were divided in proportion to the amount invested?

The other 13 you could figure out real quickly in your head. I know that those were only examples, but sheesh, I'm not the sharpest tool in the drawer and still got 87% without thinking...

I've taken the real Wonderlic and it isn't as easy as that sample. I never found out how I did on it. The only thing I really remember is that the questions got pretty hard and I didn't finish within the time limit.

Congratualtions to Brett Basanez on what is clearly a world record.
