Buckeyes from your hometown/HS

Upper Arlington- Simon Fraser and Tim Schafer, i played with both of them on the state championship team. Also a number of walk-ons since the school is so close to Ohio State campus. And Michael Stafford who was a walk on but became a starter early on in the national championship season until he got hurt and lost his spot for good.

The Mongoose

Chad Cacchio played in 2000. Pretty good flanker

Worthington (it became Thomas Worthington our junior year)

I used to play basketball with D, he had the most line drive shot ever - remember the Microwave Vinnie Johnson? Like that. . .

D also loved twisting his friends nipples. Very odd. . . (and painful)

He was a great guy. Always liked him. . .
It was Worthington HS before 1991, right.

We had a sectional swim meet at Thomas Worthington yesterday and I was looking at the banners in the pool. All the Worthington High School championships stopped in 1990 and then the banners split(Kilbourne and Thomas) and picked up in 1991. Which is why I'm assuming they split in/before 1991.

Where was the original school(Worthington HS) actually located?

Thomas Worthington is the old Worthington High School. (Except when I went to high school all the freshmen went to a separate school called Kilbourne (like the new HS) that was at 161 and a block past High). The first year of Thomas Worthington was the 1991-1992 school year - though the seniors all stayed at Thomas and didn't split that year, pretty much. . .

Worthington has gone downhill ever since. . . :P

Wilmington

Chuck Hunter actually held the national career record for TD's coming out of HS with 59. Now kids score that in a season! Crazy! Chuck was an interesting player. Excellent speed for a guy his size 6'2" 220+ but not really "explosive". Great hands. He just never really fit into a particular spot. Although, he did catch the winning TD pass vs. UM in '79 capping our undefeated season. We were in camp together with Miami in '80. They tried him at RB and he almost made the freaking team! Chuck is QUALITY people. Very easy going guy:) . I think he's back in Delaware.
