Buckeyes Everywhere - It is True

The OSU commercial that is run at the stadium and on TV during games talks about there being Buckeyes everywhere (paraphrasing here). I have been traveling quite a bit for my job and have found this to be true.

I ran into some Buckeyes in Charleston, SC a couple of weeks ago after the Iowa game. This morning I ran into some Buckeyes in Anchorage, AK at the hotel I was checking into.

Man you just gotta love it!!!!!

I've run into Buckeyes in all South African major cities and in the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, China, Botswana, Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, and Namibia.

We were walking downtown Manitou Springs' downtown area yesterday wearing my grey Buckeyes track jacket and got a nice, loud "O-H!" from an elderly gentleman as he walked by. Happens a lot out here.

There have been major Buckeye presences in the cities I've lived in...

Two of my recent Buckeye surprises:

Walking out to meet some friends out on Hermosa Beach, I was wearing a coaches' polo, and got an "O-H"... Before I looked I gave an I-O back... only to see maybe 15 people playing corn hole with tOSU boards and everything... Awesome.

Was in a packed bar in Nashville two months ago the Friday before a wedding... someone in the crowd convinces the band to play Hang On Sloopy. I was obviously fired up, but super surprised that no less than 30 people did the O-H-I-O during the song. Very awesome. What made it better was when a buddy of mine finally convinced the band to play Rocky Top, there were definitely fewer people doing the "Woo" than O-H-I-Os.

In literally every city I've covered over the past 3 years, I have ran into Buckeye's. In no particular order I have sparked the Buckeye conversation in:

Oklahoma City
Tulsa
Little Rock
Jonesboro, AR
Memphis
Springfield, MO
Spartanburg and Greenville
Columbia
Charlotte
Asheville
Myrtle Beach
Charleston
Savannah
Augusta

Now that I think about it, the only city I haven't had a conversation with a Buckeye is in Anderson, SC although there is an SUV with a Buckeye sticker that in the back window at a store I frequent there.

There's a bunch of Buckeye fans on 21st St, and even more on Mt. Vernon Rd. Shit's crazy.

Well I've let's say Hilton Head is covered with Buckeyes since that's the only part I've ever been to. But on both trips I've gotten good O-H-I-O chants!

Dudes, all over the military. And in bunches. It's like, if you don't play tOSU football, then you join the military!

And also NFBuck, my parents moved to Colorado Springs back in 2000 so that's what I consider "home", but I agree. They are absolutely everywhere there. The Buffalo Wild Wings on Academy and Woodmen is owned by an Alum. I've been there a couple times for a couple scUM games and the '08 USC game, that place gets crazy on gameday!

We used to vacation in Hilton Head all the time... so much my parents ended up moving to SC... SC is like Ohio Jr.... btw there is an OSU Bar on Hilton Head
