Buckeyes,'Canes, Longhorns per ESPN.

NDC, once again, i am forced to question whether or not you actually WATCH football games... scUM caught two incredibly bad breaks in that Rose Bowl. the first being that Braylon Edwards dropped a sure TD on the first drive. the second being that ball that by all rights should have been incomplete, but inexplicably bounced off the back of the defender's foot and into the arms of Troy Palamalu... had Edwards caught the TD, USC's margin is only 7 points. had that ball dropped harmlessly to the turf, rather than ending up in USC posession at the nine yard line, that margin disappears to zero... it wasn't like the Trojans ran them off the field, they just caught the breaks...

had the ball bounced differently in just those two plays, that game could have ended regulation in a tie, and no one today would be proclaiming USC as repeat Champs...

i can't believe i just defended scUM... oh well, fuck it... i hate ND even more than the skunkbears...

Oh PLEASE ! You act as though Edwards has never dropped a pass he should have caught. So I guess every play that USC ran went perfect? But you are right about one thing as I did not watch the whole game as the out-come was never really in doubt.

Bottom line Michigan never really challenged USC.

You must never watch football because EVERY game has breaks that determine the out-come.....

I agree with both of these statements...but I think you two are arguing the same point. scUM never challenged USC because USC caught all of the breaks. However, USC also executed much better than scUM which has nothing to do with lucky bounces.

You have all gone loopy. We've got tOSU fans making excuses for why Michigan lost and a ND fan standing up for USC. I hope nobody is expecting me to come in and say that society is to blame for those 14 ucla players forging physician signatures to obtain handicap parking permits.

Nope, that rational does not fly on this board !!
Getting a lecture on what flies on this board from an ex-bannee does not fly on this board. My rationale, however, flies just fine. In fact, it's not so much a rationale as a simple mathematical truth. Being better than every opponent on their schedule does not give a team good odds on running that entire schedule undefeated. Every game carries a possibility of defeat, some more than others, and that probability accumulates as the season progresses. The more tough games there are, even if you're favored in all of them, the higher that probability of a defeat becomes.

With your point if OSU were to play ND's schedule then OSU would probably loose a game or 2 more every year as well but no one here would believe that!
I would agree with this if I agreed with your implicit assumption that ND's schedule is substantially tougher than OSU's. But I don't.

Anyway, you dont have to beef up the superiority of the NC of the last 2 years.
No, you don't. Which makes it all the more bizarre that you undertake to do it anyway.

Michigan has as much of a shot at beating USC as ND does....
If you truly believe that, your judgement is completely overwhelmed by your homerism.

Chief, are you sure you didn't mean "COL", as in crying out loud? I'm just guessing, based on the belligerent ding you just sent me for mentioning your banning. I'm sorry I brought up your prior banning, but you've got to admit there's a certain irony in an ex-bannee delivering instructions about what will fly on the board.
