BuckeyeSoldier: I thought I mentioned that to you once before.

You probably did, but when you get my age... As for pounding brews at 6:00 am and watching the Buckeyes play, it's never the wrong time of day to do that...can't wait for this season to start!

"Veter"A"ns"

Sorry to be the asshole here if it hasn't already been noticed it's "VETERANS" as originally posted.

I served in the U.S. Navy 1989-1992 (Early discharge to attend tOSU)
Was a "Yeoman" if anyone knows that that is. (Basically a secretary).
  • Alameda, CA USS Carl Vinson (1989-2001) then transferred to
  • Norfolk, Va/USS Shreveport (Desert Storm Veteran during time here until Sep '02)

Since I'm a vet I allowed to tell off colored jokes.

A in't

U. S. Navy - 400 sailors go out, 200 couples come back

Marines are like bananas, when they first hit the beaches they're green. Then they turn yellow. Then they die.

I don't know any Air Force jokes.

There were always RadBatters around but I never really got to know any of them that well. Typically I wouldn't have a clue whether they were a 2621/2631/2651 or 267x anyways.

We were co-located with 20-30 guys from 1st RadBn in Desert Storm but I don't recall too many names, the only one that comes to mind is Cpl Grinberg (and only because of a hilarious story he told about looking for Channakah decorations in Jacksonville, NC). I'll ask some of the other guys from the SSCT if they can recall specific individuals.

Mostly I was wondering if you crossed paths with a tall red headed guy named Stewart. Trying to remember who else was there. Failing. I think we had some Radio Recon over there, but I don't think they were with the bigger groups.

Don't remember a Grinberg, he may have cleared out of 1stRadBn while I was still at DLI.

If they served honorably they are veterans in my book, regardless of whether that service was in peacetime.

I think they were just pointing out 'veteren'/'veteran'.

Doesn't ring a bell. Are you trying to contact him? If so there is a Desmond Stewart listed as a member of the 1st RadBn group on military.com.

(Hmm looking at his profile I'm betting that this is your guy...91-94 1st RadBn KorLing
