Fantasy BuckeyePlanet Fantasy Football - Keeper League (R.I.P.)

Bummer for timing, but it looks like I will be in Japan from the 15th to the 29th of August. Can we push it to the first couple days of September? If not, on a weekend day in late August so I am not working? Japan is 13 hours ahead of EST. so, if the draft is at 8pm, it will be 9am in japan

The season doesn't start until September 5th.

With that in mind, I'd vote for a draft the 2nd/3rd/4th in the later evening. There isn't really any reason we have to be done early, at least as far as I can tell. On the flip side, pushing it later helps out Gomer and gives everyone more time for "scouting", AKA seeing if anyone gets hurt

Having seen no other suggestions, input or objections, I have moved the date and time for the draft. We are now set for:
KEEPERS DUE: Tues. Aug. 28 at 8:30PM ET
2012 DRAFT TAKES PLACE: Tues. Sept. 4 at 8:30PM ET
I know this thread doesn't get much traffic this time of year, so if anybody sees this and has a problem or alternate suggestion please let me know. Unlike past seasons, it looks like Yahoo is offering a little more flexibility in scheduling draft times. I guess they have greater server capacity now because times used to fill up an I'm not seeing that happening yet.

Also, we are still at eight renewals, but everybody from last year has said they're still in. BuckTwenty, if you still plan to renew could you please do so when you get a chance so I can enter your keeper values on Yahoo? My friend Tommy is also still in - I have to re-forward the information to him but I expect him to be signed up by the end of the weekend.

I have updated keeper costs on Yahoo for all of the teams that most recently renewed.

Not that I care about the stupid consolation playoffs, but if that's the way it's gonna work then it places an incentive on tanking games. I'd rather have people give up and not care at the end rather than expecting people to go out of their way to tank the consolation playoffs so their draft position isn't ruined.

Long story short: I think that our draft order should be determined in a way that more closely mimics real football - where teams that don't make the playoffs have their draft position determined by their regular season record. What are everybody's thoughts on that?

As of right now:

Ray Rice (2)
Jimmy Graham (7)

.....but it's killing me not to be able to keep DeMarco Murray @ a #7 so I'll have to keep close eye on preseason up to the keeper deadline.

I'm keeping:

LeSean McCoy (7)
Rob Gronkowski (14)

I normally play it a little closer to the vest this time of year, but these two carry such crazy value that I don't think I'd be fooling anybody by keeping my mouth shut.

Six teams have declared keepers so far, all of those have been entered in the News thread. All ten teams have renewed for this season. Thanks to everybody for signing back up.
