Fantasy BuckeyePlanet Fantasy Football - Keeper League (R.I.P.)

I'm open to moving it if the rest of the league is up for it. At the time I renewed the league this was the only reasonable time that was available. I'm going to say though that it will only be moved if there is a consensus. Nobody else has had an objection to the current time, and if moving it causes a conflict for somebody else who has already been in the league for 2-3 years, that would take precedent for me.

I too have another draft later that evening (BP Trey) as well as one the night before (BP Deuce non-keeper), and personally I'm not keen on starting anything after 10:00 Eastern. It looks like there are some start times around 8-9 PM EDT on Thurs. Sept. 1 and Mon. Sept. 5.

I'll be seeing my friend tomorrow for a golf scramble, so I can run it by him too. I know he was liking the earlier time because it would allow him to get the draft done before his bitch wife got home from work.

I am in Jake's BP league and just noticed that it starts one hour after this draft on the same night. I have got to think that our draft will move fast since two picks for everyone are already set and there aren't that many rounds to begin with. That being said, does anyone know if you can have two draft windows running at the same time? I would like to try and avoid auto-picking the beginning of the second draft if possible. I personally wouldn't mind a move to 8:30 or 9 on Thurs Sept 1 solely based on the fact that my kids will be in bed and I won't have deal with them distracting my picks. :tongue2: No big deal though if we keep where its at...

Used to be able to run one in IE, and one in Chrome/FireFox.

Not sure if that still works though. I'd give it a shot.

Talked to my friend over the weekend, he said he prefers the draft at its current time. Plus, with the folks who did chime in saying they wouldn't mind a move, we didn't really even have a quorum.

All of that means our draft time is staying put. It also means that 6:45 EDT tonight is the deadline to make changes to your keepers. After that, you're locked in.

I'm making a change to mine. I'm now going with LeSean McCoy and Matt Forte.

Good news.... I am still in Cali, but we finished our work early, so I am back in my hotel ready to draft... As far as our keepers, how are we doing those, do we just draft them first?

jlb already designates them as keepers, so they will be on our rosters automatically, and it will just skip the corresponding selection.

Pretty much seamless.

Yeah.... Hopefully this one will be done before the other starts... but I can manage either way... I have been a part of some VERY slow drafts before...

Back in the 90's, I ran a FF league while deployed in Okinowa.... This was before the internet was available to us over there... So, I manually did the draft with my guys and then I would get the Stars and Stripes newspaper on Monday and Tuesday to get all of the box scores and I would manually tabulate everyones points... I spent hours every single week doing this but it was still fun.. When guys wanted to make a trade, they would come to my locker in the squad bay and we would have a kangaroo court to decide if the trade was fair...

To everyone asking if they can do two yahoo drafts at a time:

I responded to a PM from this user, and mentioned that yes, you certainly can do so. I know if you click the Enter Draft link from your team page, it definitely uses a different window name and should work just fine. If it isn't working for mock drafts, I'll talk to the guy who worked on that. There is no reason it can't work, they're probably just opening up both drafts in the same named window or something. For independent reasons, you can't sign up for more than one mock draft that haven't started yet, but that is a different matter.

That is a post from a Yahoo employee, taken from Can I Have 2 Drafts Going at once?
