Buckeye Planet Poll Week 5

Heck we could probably do that by next week if everyone decided that we want to do it and the poll gurus are ok with it. I'm sure we could find 10 more pollsters within a day or two. On a sad note all of my friends laugh at me when I talk about my poll like it's important. :sad2:

On a slightly serious note - I understand that real life gets in the way of submitting your ballot from time to time. So, with that in mind, what do you all think of the following:

1. KBuck and I do the Poll Tuesday Morn regardless of who has submitted their poll. This will lead to there not being a consistent number of votes each week, and is a plan of which I'm not particularly found.

2. We get 10 more people, and the first 25 to submit their poll are the pollsters for that week, and the other's are discarded. This leads to inconsisent week to week rankings (For example, if I get my ballot in 25th one week and have .... I don't know, say, Viginia rated 15... but the next week, I'm late, and Virginia gets no votes... Maybe it's not that big a deal..)

3. We keep on trucking as is

4. ANy ideas?

I like #2, but I know I would be upset if I turn my poll in Monday morning and it doesn't get counted because 25 others already sent their polls in. How hard would it be to use the normal 25 up until noon on Monday, but if anyone isn't in on time you replace them for the week with one of the extra 10?

I think keeping the originals until the deadline is good, and then, if you have 10 extras, and say you have 2 who didn't get it in, you could randomly pick 2 of the extras. The extras would never know if it got used, but it could.
