1 -- Fact (though Mangold's departure makes this a pretty slim choice, both were assets, huge assets).
2 -- Fact, (I think he demonstrated true WR skills as the year went on in '05. His play in all phases was great in the last third of the season - particularly the showcase games. His blocking alone was much improved - that makes him the combination of speed and player we have been hoping to see.)
3 -- Fact. Top 15 is definitely possible, this is the biggest stretch of all of the choices you pose. Lots of defensive experience and leadership will have moved on to greener pa$ture$.
4 -- Fact. Smith, Ginn, AP, Gonzo et al are the corps of an explosive offense. This time there are fewer question marks in my mind about the likelihood of continuing that late-season momentum - O-line would be the only area that needs to really show they are up to speed. No doubt in my mind that they can be so ranked by the end of the year.
5 -- Fiction. Wells may get to see the ball a lot as the season develops, perhaps in Goal-line situations more than any other. Still, we know how Tressel likes to reward his experienced players - particularly when they have earned that right. Few have done more to cement their role than AP. Off course, this is one prediction that is a win-win either way it plays out!

1. Fiction. (Mangold is the biggest loss on the offensive side)
2. Fact. (Remember he has only played 2 years at WR)
3. Fiction. (We may struggle early, but improve as the season goes on)
4. Fact. (Smith, Ginn, Gonzalez, Pittman, Wells, Frost, enough said)
5. Fact. (Wells will most likely get a lot of chances inside the five)

1. Santonio Holmes was the biggest loss on the offensive side of the ball?
Fact
2. Ginn will be a legitimate #1 reciever at the beginning of the year?
Fact but i think we will still use him as #2 with Speedy in the #1 Slot. Makes Ginn More valuable in other ways...
3. Ohio State's defense will be ranked in the top 15 next year?
Fact, But may be shaky early
4. Ohio State's offense will be ranked in the top 10 next year?
Fiction... Too many teams play crapy oponents week after week. We should hit top 20.
5. Chris Wells will score more TD's than Antonio Pittman?
Fiction... Pittman is going to be a freaking beast next season!!!!

1. Santonio Holmes was the biggest loss on the offensive side of the ball?

1. Fact. He was Troy Smith's go to guy out the out-pattern and on the quick slant-pattern.

2. Ginn will be a legitimate #1 reciever at the beginning of the year?

2. Fiction. I think Gonzalez is more consistent, and is ready to step up as Troy's new go-to-guy in third and long situations. Ginn has made huge strides over the last two years. But Holmes was one of the best route runners I've ever seen, and Gonzo is not far behind that. Ginn will be better than last year, and will have highlight reel plays, but he'll be inconsistent again.

3. Ohio State's defense will be ranked in the top 15 next year?

3. Fiction. You simply cannot replace the back seven that easily. And don't forget we lose our best player on the front four as well. I think it's easier to reload on defense, than on offense, but there will be growing pains.

4. Ohio State's offense will be ranked in the top 10 next year?

Fiction. The offense will do what it has to do to win. That's Tresselball, and it'll stay that way. The offense will be more balanced. But Tressel is like Cowher with the lead. We'll be running the ball a lot with Pittman/Wells(s) and Smith to protect leads. The numbers will not be there, but the talent is.

5. Chris Wells will score more TD's than Antonio Pittman?

5. Fact. Pittman did not get his first TD until Minnesota last year. He gets his on the long runs. Wells will get his on the short runs.

1. Santonio Holmes was the biggest loss on the offensive side of the ball?

Fiction, Mangold.

2. Ginn will be a legitimate #1 receiver at the beginning of the year?

Fact. He caught 9 balls against scUM and had a great Fiesta Bowl.

3. Ohio State's defense will be ranked in the top 15 next year?

Fiction. Somewhere between 20 and 25 is more likely.

4. Ohio State's offense will be ranked in the top 10 next year?

Fiction. Too many other conferences are loaded with bad defenses. And JT won't run it up, he'll kill the clock.

5. Chris Wells will score more TD's than Antonio Pittman?

Fact. I also think he'll get most of the carries inside the 5.

1. Santonio Holmes was the biggest loss on the offensive side of the ball? Fiction. A great center like Nick Mangold is going to be harder to replace than Holmes since we have Ginn. I think Cordle can be very good though but we shall see.

2. Ginn will be a legitimate #1 reciever at the beginning of the year? Fact. He has greatly improved his receiving skills and will be our big receiving threat.

3. Ohio State's defense will be ranked in the top 15 next year? Fact. Even though I think we may start off slow, I always have faith in our defensive staff to develop our talent and the talent is definetly there.

4. Ohio State's offense will be ranked in the top 10 next year? Fact. We know who all is returning but also with the power Chris Wells brings, I really think he could be a big piece of this offense.

5. Chris Wells will score more TD's than Antonio Pittman? Fiction. This is the hardest call imo. Wells should get some redzone carries but will we stick with the TS-AP speed option near the goalline? I wouldn't think so with Wells but you never know. Still I think Pittman is going to rip off more big TD runs this year.

-Also the bonus question on Ginn: Fact. If he doesn't get injured this year he will likely be gone to the NFL.

1. Fiction (Mangold)
2. Fact (What do you mean by legitimate?)
3. Fact (it will be very close)
4. Fiction (Troy is my pick for the Heisman)
5. Fact (Pittman will have more yards, carries, receptions, etc. but Wells will get the carries inside the 5)
