I never understood it... Some people think thats the best way to handle a signing.. It could possibly be the worst!!
And running out of photo's? I actually know why this happened. The show promoter is making the store owners buy photos and will not take back any that isn't signed.. They think you can predict the future and how many people are planning on attending the signings. And thats how many photos they stick you with.... Not in my shows!! they take back whatever I don't get signed.

I'm sorry but the number system is awful. I ALWAYS arrive at a signing 5-10 minutes before it starts and the longest I've ever waited was 30 minutes. I went today to see Freeman and arrived at 1:55. Unfortunately, all of the locals arrived at 10 a.m. and picked up a ticket so that they could come back at 2 (some even at 3) and ditch everyone. I didn't get an autograph until 3:40 and that was after Marcus agreed to stay an extra 20-30 minutes to finish up for the fans. He really didn't have to do it but he's a pretty nice guy.

And yes, they ran out of photos. Some people were getting him to sign blank pieces of paper.... I didn't really see the reason for that, but what do I know?

He had nothing else scheduled after this signing!
I think he wants to focus on being ready for the season from this point on. I am sure he will back out after a short break for the combines.

As of right now, no. You know the whole story regarding this and I don't have to spell it out, but hopefully it all changes for the better b/c right now the fans are not getting the quality they deserve. Let's hope that it changes before then, but I'm not counting on it.

RallyRob, it's at Gridirons in the Findlay Mall. Fred is the owner and a superb guy...one of the nicer guys I've met along the way.

New here

Hello,
I am new here and have a question. Who sets the price for an autograph? The store owner, the promoter? I have seen a huge difference in prices for signings and was wondering about it. Why would JL's autograph at one place be$xx and the same autograph at a differnt store$X??? any thoughts??
Thanks

Thoughts? Yeah, LOTS of them. The whole thing is "WACKED" when you start to look at it the way you are. This is how I see it. Whatever the player's price is then it should be set that way for ALL signings. Of course there are differences depending on who the player is, but it shouldn't fluctuate from one signing to the other. There are "booking fees" that promoters charge to the stores which I think is total crap! For example JL's fee is $2,500/hr. For two hrs the store is charged $5K PLUS $500 to the promoter. Total crap IMO. These are just a few things that are involved in the business. Don't even get me started on the whole photo "phiasco"!

In any event here is the flyer for the signing in Findlay.
