I would imagine that would work. I went to a Cal Ripken Jr. book signing, after he was done with the books, he signed baseballs and other stuff for people for about 10 minutes, then his rep was a dick, he's like we got a plane to catch. I tried to get a couple extra baseballs signed so I could sell them on eBay.autocollectr79;1199110; said:they say its strictly books but ive been going to quite a few of them and ive only been denied memoribilia 1 time.im taking a bcs program for tress and if he doesnt sign it along with the book im waiting til its over and trying again.its worked before

If someone wants one for their own collection then thats cool, but to ask for a bunch of extra ones just so you can sell them on ebay is a dick move on the part of the person who is trying to get the person to sign.

July 22, 2008 9:45 AMFootball: Members of the OSU football team will be participating in a charity event this month to benefit the Kidney Cancer Association.
As part of their membership in a student organization called Uplifting Athletes, around 20 OSU football players will participate in a college football video game tournament on Wednesday, July 30, at Eddie George's Grill 27 in Columbus from 4-8 PM.
Players will compete head-to-head in the competition. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the players and collect autographs as well as win door prizes.
"The Uplifting Athletes organization allows OSU athletes to raise awareness of people to rare diseases," said safety Kurt Coleman. "As players, this is a great way to use college football to help a group of people who need help the most."
Uplifting Athletes at Ohio State was formed by former Buckeye Matt Daniels whose father is battling kidney cancer. Ohio State joins Penn State, Maryland and Colgate in the Uplifting Athletes program.
Admission is $65.00 with limited tickets available.
To purchase tickets, visit Uplifting Athletes.org

I sure hope that they cleared this with the athletic department. There have been cases where current football players have done something for a charity and the NCAA rules it violated some obscure rule, etc.

Beanie Wells, after throwing down his cap, reacts in shock after failing to score on the last play of the game, falling in a semifinal to Donald Washington (back to the camera).
If you're an Ohio State fan with $65 to spare, you might want to watch some videogames next year.
Wednesday's charity event at Eddie George's 27 Grille didn't get a ton of publicity in its first go-round, and the players were only told about it Sunday night. But come on ... it was playing NCAA 2009 to raise money for cancer. Not exactly heavy lifiting.
Still, it was stunning to find nearly every major member of the Buckeyes, at least more than 50 in total, hanging out Wednesday, with so few fans there to soak in the atmosphere, get autographs at will and watch what college athletes might really act like in their free time.
