</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="4" class="newstory" align="left">It didn’t take long for emotions to flare up at Baptist Sports Park, as rookie free agent Bryce Bishop of Ohio State got into scuffles on back-to-back plays at the end of the Sunday morning’s first padded practice for the linemen.
Bishop, a guard from Ohio State, got into a shoving match first with fellow rookie Jared Clauss, who wisely walked away after Bishop landed a punch during the fracas.
On the next play, Bishop got into it with linebacker/long snapper Ken Amato during a brief scrap.
Both times, Bishop said it was in retaliation.
“If you back down, then you’re not competing,” Bishop said of the altercations. He [Clauss] gave me a punch, and I just retaliated. But it’s all part of practice and we leave it all on the field.”
As for the next round with Amato, Bishop replied, “I just retaliated. They hit a hot spot.”
As for Clauss walking away, Fisher was asked if it had anything to do with the 45 he scored on the Wonderlic test at the NFL Combine.
“Yes, you can credit that to the Wonderlic and the fine schedule,” Fisher said.

.... regardless of whether bishop was being too ornery or not, I saw the video clips on local news, and both amato and clauss ended up on their asses. Maybe being one of the few senior starters that went undrafted lit a fire under Bishop?
