I don't believe anything I said had anything to do with individual politics. These people are fucking stupid and should not be in charge of policies outside of when to run wind sprints. That's not a political statement. Running for office doesn't immediately shield you from being called an idiot if you're an idiot.

Pearl had all the requisite sleaze of a career politician though.
It’s like he’s going back to his true calling after a stop in the private sector to make some money.

Ok, so calling a current US Senator a shitfuck doesn’t have anything to do with individual politics, Got it.

When a guy makes me feel like I need to go take a shower after just seeing him on my t.v. screen, well, that tells me he has the right stuff to be a great politician.

I was thinking this morning that this really reminds me of Tony Bennett at Virginia putting the school in a bind due to him leaving the program so late (Bennett left UVA in mid-October). It didn't really work out for Virginia and the program obviously didn't name the interim a permanent coach.
Same goes with Pat Knight replacing Bob at Texas Tech (it didn't work out and Pat ended up at Lamar and now NAIA Marian).
You'd hope Auburn has a full search and I believe they will (Scheyer at Duke is really the best-case scenario for Auburn and succession...but that's Duke and this is Auburn).
