Browns at Ravens(-10.5)

Not when you're getting 10.5 and they only lose by 7. You loser:biggrin2:

I guess the only problem that I have with Ryan when he sends 7-8 guys on a blitz is that I wish each I would say in their own lane (for the lack of a better term) because on that one where they scored the last touchdown Browns DL were running into the backs of other DLs.

Just too many penalties to be a winner and too many sideline patterns. I also thought that maybe they should have taken a safety when they were backed up to their own 2 yard line but then they have the Ratbirds would only had to kick a field goal to put the Browns down by 9 points.

None of it matters. It's all just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. This franchise will NEVER win. Ever.

I remember in high school my buddies and I made a pact that we would go WHEN the Browns went to the Super Bowl.

I'm 40 now...I don't think that trip is ever going to happen.

Have I mentioned that I hate this franchise?

They are a disgrace to the city of Cleveland and that's saying something.

Really though it's the game plan that makes them impossible to watch, 4th and 2 with 4 minutes left and you punt it away. Seriously? At some point don't you have to try to WIN the game. Yeah if you don't make it the game is over, but really what do you think your odds are of getting the ball back and being able to go down the field in a hurry up situation against that Baltimore D?. Basically your praying that Baltimore does something to hand you the tieing touchdown, this strategy might work when your Jim Tressel playing against Illinois when you have a lights out defense, and superior offensive talent, but when you are the inferior team you've got to start taking some chances don't you? The thing is pretty much any other coach we've had recently would have done the same exact thing.

Mind if you hadn't tried to go deep on 3rd and 2 you might not have been in that situation.

By the time they get some decent WRs and a good QB the offensive line will be so old that we will have to build the offensive line again. Plus, our defensive line is getting long in the tooth and we still need help in the defensive backfield. Oh, just never mind. Very depressing.

I"m seeing something with this team, and it appears we play to the level of our competition. McCoy needs to be something because we NEED a QB. Next year will be make or break for this franchise but another decent draft will really give us some usable talent.

Wright - he just, flat out was not giving 100% today and it showed. I mean, I understand playing man-off coverage, but damnit there we're times when he just looked like he was watching Boldin do this thing. Granted that's a Pro-bowl receiver and our pass rush is still very terrible.

But if this keeps up I don't think Mangini will make it - like said earlier in the Brown's thread, I hope Ryan gets a fair shake at keeping his job. Our defense has been solid save for Wright's performance today.

Hillis a damn animal. And I want him as a long term addition to this team. Especially in the colder weeks/months - he's a true power back with light/quick feet that are crucial to the late season. He's a light skinned Jerome Bettis lol.

Cribbs needed a couple more touches in the "flash" package. And the few carries that Davis saw didn't show me much because it was terribly obvious what the play call was. But both him and the Moose run very hard and he's a bit shifty then I remember.

Pashos played much better then St.Clair at tackle - and the difference was noticeable. He's not a long term solution, but if we do infact draft a RT I'll be happy to have his abilities at Guard.

The dline is getting old, plain and simple. And what I'm worried about is coaching staff turnover provided things continue to head south. A 4-3 would be terrible at this point because we simply do not have 3 linebacker's that could play effectively with that much responsibility. Rubin and Rodgers at DT and NT would be scary, that's a lot of beef in the middle, but DE would be a complete mystery to me.

I have tons of thoughts going through my head, and this post was rather rushed. I'll organize them later once I get my new rig up and running and hopefully give a bit more detail or clarity to what I'm trying to say.
