There are not a lot of good games by Weeden, like you have with RGIII or Luck, to fall back on. So far I've seen a lot of mediocre and not much else. Yes, his receivers have dropped a lot of passes this year...but that starts to even out when they bail his ass out by catching a myriad of balls that are high and behind them like they did in Dallas. I don't expect the guy to be an All-Pro in year 1. I do expect to see some progression in something...his reads, his decision making, his recognition, his accuracy...and I really just haven't seen it. And like it or not, he is 29, which doesn't mean he should be 7 years better than a typical rook, but it does mean he has a limited shelf life. If it takes him 5 years to reach solid starter territory, he will be towards the tail end of his career already. If he is going to help this franchise, it needs to be faster than that.
