As bad as the Browns are all they are really missing right now is an OL (pretty much the whole thing) and CB's. They aren't going to have any cap room this year to sign players so they better draft well. I don't know if the Browns could pass on AP, but I would be all for trading down just far enough to still get the best OL in the draft and hopefully pick up another 2nd rounder or proven OL in the trade. 2 of the first 3 picks this draft need to be on the OL.

It seemed like everyone had issues catching today.

I'll take C. AP will not be useful without an OL to do ANYTHING! There is no offensive lineman worthy of the No. 1 pick and we have more than one position of need (some story every year since 99). We need one more shut down corner, another speed end for the dline and at least one top notch offensive lineman.

The bigger question is: What college player will be sitting at No. 1 and will someone trade multiple picks for him?

This team really has one major kink that needs to be worked out before the other issues can be accurately assessed: Blocking.

I think most agree that, absent injuries in the secondary, the defense is on the right track. But it's hard to assess Frye's performance b/c he gets no time to throw. It's hard to gauge if Droughns has really dropped off that much because there's no holes to run through.

And it's definately hard to grade Crennel until we see how competitive this team will be with a competent line.

It's ain't happenin' this year though. This line stinks.

: Other than that it was a close, yet solid win.... poor game clock management the final 30seconds; of course, Kosar (who again sounded quite buzzed) had to throw in his 2 cents about it, gave me a chuckle.

Thursday is Chicago... Go Browns!
