All that golf and he still shoots 95? Like his football team, he should have spent more time practicing. That's only two rounds a week, every week for 4 straight years.
Figure 3-4 hours per round so yeah, he gave one work day a week to golf.
Leaves lots of time for recruiting, on field coaching and film work
I am assuming he doesn’t put tomatoes in his gumbo and isn’t thinking at such high levels as a result of that indiscretion.Honest question. If that donor wants LSU to win so bad then why not keep the coach, take the $56M and put it into NIL? That on top of the existing NIL could buy playoff runs for the next 2-3 years.

Thing about Nick is he doesn’t treat like people are beneath him. He calls the shots sure, but he is on the ground with everyone grinding and making sure everyone is doing their job.Kelly treated everyone like they were beneath him. And if you're going to act like that, you better bring home Nick Saban level results.
I’m just wondering how he found three other guys to fill out the foursome on a regular basis. Talk about a good walk spoiled. Can't speak to the veracity of this report, but it is a bit humorous. And if true, looks like he improved his golf game about as much as he improved his coaching game.

LSU football rumors: Brian Kelly's buyout reduced by more than $30 million for 'morals code'
Report says LSU cut Brian Kelly’s buyout to about $20M using a contract “morals code,” clearing room for a high-profile coaching search.clutchpoints.com

Kelly spent his time at Cincinnati pissing and moaning about Ohio State to the media. He was smart enough to butter up to the HS coaches in the Cincinnati area and then convinced local kids who would have ridden the pine for 2 or 3 years at a level 1 school to stay home and start. He got butts into the stands at Nippert by creating local heroes. And then, at the pinnacle of his sucess, he said one thing on Friday and, "Kiss my ass, enjoy YOUR bowl game, my ass is headed to South Bend," on Monday. Self-centered, ego-driven, asshole pretty much sums it up.here's my take on the Brian Kelly era.
you can be a complete asshole if you dig a program up from the dead and raise them to National Prominence.
Nick Saban is the pasteboard for that. People hated Nick (the person) because of how driven he was and it was obvious his way worked.
you can also be a complete idiot as long as you can at least maintain that level of relevance. Les was a literal cartoon character. But he was fun guy to hang around with and he kept the program at a high enough level long enough to stick around for over a decade.
you can be an illiterate ogre as long as your winning. O is borderline mentally handicapped (and that's not really joking). When we were winning, that was fine. Not real funny when the winning stopped.
but what you cannot be is a condescending dickhead if you aren't bringing home titles. plain and simple.
Les and O were given more rope than Kelly because their personalities were a lot easier to tolerate.
Kelly treated everyone like they were beneath him. And if you're going to act like that, you better bring home Nick Saban level results.
When you lose to Vandy (first time since 1990 we've lost to them). When you lose at home to A&M (first time that's happened since '94), you need to have SOME sort of redeeming quality. Kelly has none of those.
and just like the last guy to lose a game to Vandy, or the last guy to lose at home to A&M, Kelly will not be coaching LSU the following season.
