Brian "Body Kount" Kelly (HC Louisiana State)

A blind squirrel has been known to find a nut.
LSU won on a last second play, let’s not act like it was utter domination.

didn’t say we kicked their asses.
just pointing out that with possibly the least talented team of the last 20 years (and hopefully the least talented for many more), we found a way.

i’ve never been scared of them.
still ain’t.

they’re damn good, but they’re not this invincible force everyone makes them out to be.

Gotcha. Fair enough.

Props for being one of the few SEC programs that isn't scared of Saban and the Tide

Gratitude seems to be in short supply in Buckeye land.

meanwhile how does “the Committee” justify putting ND well below a team they beat by 21 and a team they beat by three scores? Talk about an overrated conference, the SEC has nothing on the committee’s opinion of the ACC. Maybe they thought it was basketball season.

Had this convo in another thread but it's pretty simple: Clemson is 8-1 while ND is 6-3 with bad losses to Stanford and Marshall.

Kelly told Dinich that he was not aware of Saban's comments before reiterating his desire to play the best. The second-year Tigers coach, who spent more than a decade as head coach at Notre Dame before transitioning to Baton Rouge in late 2021, didn't hesitate to take a verbal shot at college football outside the walls of the SEC either.

“I've been in this (business) for three decades, and no disrespect to any of the other schools that we play outside of the SEC, but they just don't excite me," Kelly said.

Those fans, especially LSU fans, will eat that shit up.
