Cannot believe that Arkansas reportedly is paying Bielema close to $4 million per season. Heck, I would've left too (considering he went 8-5).

And if you're Alvarez in Madison, I wouldn't match that as well.

My gosh, that's some coin for Bielema.

BB is committing career suicide. I am beyond floored that Arkansas is going to drop 4 mill on him. BB *is* a good coach but let's be honest....Saban, Miles, Muschamp, and Sumlin are going to drink his milkshake every year. There is no way he survives that conference or out recruits those dudes. In some ways BB has been an extraordinarily lucky benefactor of some amazing talent in what should have been lean years. No Russell Wilson? 7-5. What is the record last year without RW? The same? Worse? Wisconsin was the ceiling. He is a god in Madison and has the support of the community even though the team, by most current metrics, was mediocre this year (Taking away the game Nebraska forgot to show up for of course). In Arkansas? Good luck with that.

Arkansas is where good coaches go to die.

On another side note, with the [Mark May] ton of money B10 schools get from the television deal, how can they not afford to match prices with the SEC?

What is the over under on how long he lasts? Probably wanted to make this move, get some bank, get fired in 3-5 years, and take over Iowa when KF retires.

How sweet would it be if Wiscy stole O'Bannion from The Cult? I'd send Alvarez a [censored]ing Christmas card.

As a Ped State hater I would love it, but O'Boyle would be an awesome coach in Wiscy so the Buckeye in me wouldn't want to see it.

Hey, it'll be fun to watch. Win or lose, it'll be fun to watch.

Some SEC schools have like 11-14 sports. All their money go towards football (just look at some of their basketball programs).

Big Ten schools have upwards of 25-30 sports. All the TV money goes towards the broad-based programs (total program), in addition to football. That's why the home games mean so much to the budget (why the 9 game conf. sched is held up).
