Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul

Wow. Just... wow.

Best episode of the entire franchise since Five-0 in season 1.

Bob Odenkirk earned an Emmy nod tonight.

PS, Rhea Seehorn... still fine.

PSS, Los Polos Hermanos has southwest seasoned curly fries? Why is this not a real restaurant like Bubba Gump & Co. already? I need my quarantine Door Dash!
The scene where Nacho and Gus tear up and torch Los Pollos Hermanos is one of my favorites in this entire series. Both guys just full of absolute rage in the moment but displaying it so differently. Plus, the musical selection fit perfectly. *chef's kiss*

Kim’s ultimate status was pretty ambiguous before tonight. Feels pretty set in stone now :(

Agreed. So smart and tough and she's going to be undone all because she loves a scumbag like Jimmy.

EDIT - shit -- meant to put that in spoiler tags, not quote tags.

In BCS, Kim and Jimmy share a love of old movies, one of which was Ice Station Zebra. They even pulled a con in S2 (IIRC) where they received a $10,000 check made payable to Ice Station Zebra Associates.

In BB, Saul's loan-out is Ice Station Zebra Associates. Badger pays into it, Skylar receives a check from it.

I've always held out hope that Kim is alive and is the silent-silent partner. Francesca isn't running Saul's business behind the scenes.

Not really a spoiler, but I just checked out of my own curiosity, the "Breaking Bad" episode "4 Days Out" Jesse referred to a mountain biker on the Discovery Channel.

Darn, I thought it was a passing reference to Saul (and what he did in Monday's episode).

How did they film that tracking shot of Lalo in the tunnel?

There’s a rapid close towards Lalo at the start of the shot, then it abruptly reverses and tracks him slowly belly crawling, well past the point you’d see the tracks from a conventional dolly shot.

The technical filmmaking skill of this show is insane.

Every single episode there’s a shot I wonder how they pulled off.
