...so next guy up will be number 4 in 7 years? RichRod had success before and after that hole up north. Hoke had a fairly decent career going before this train wreck. Who in their right mind would want to slide into that wood chipper? Anybody else think it's not just the coaches they hire but other dark forces at work? If we could only erect a fence to keep them away from our recruiting pool....

Dark forces keeping Michigan down? I think not. Anyone that intent on destroying the evil up north is among the holiest of holies.

My thoughts are that the supporting cast from the AD on need to be looked at. I thought RichRod was a decent hire for them. However, Hoke was a substandard hire considering Michigan's status as a major football program. My thought is that any top flight coaching candidates are going to look at the total swamp hole that place has become and say "NO THANKS". I don't wish them any success but hope that they maintain a fairly decent program for the sake of the Big 10.

Other than saying he wants to get rid of the "Michigan Man" phrase in his last answer, he did OK; but it was interesting when he made the statement about "learning about football" when asked about the multi-year contracts of the coordinators. Not having an AD background could be a problem, and I hope it works out as well for him as it did for that pizza guy.

I really wanted one of the media folks to have the balls to ask him:

"Shouldn't the hiring of a head football coach be done by a permanent AD?"

Funny thing is, Harbaugh considers himself to be in the Woody Hayes coaching tree.
