It is a sad state of affairs when they don't even have a September Heisman trophy.
Eh, they're in a daze, and Utah-Fredo have similar uniforms. I'll allow it.Dude should get the Pulitzer for this. Classic.
EDIT: Scratch that. He apparently thought they were playing Miami, not Utah:
A throwback from the usually prescient mgoblog the day after Hoke's hiring.

They pretty much nailed it.
- Who is Gus Malzahn? Texas just blew their coaching staff up and hired Manny Diaz and the Boise State OC, so they're off the table. It is January 11th. Next up is… I have no idea. Honestly, if you were going to poach an up-and-coming coordinator your best option on defense is none other than Scott Shafer, and on offense there isn't anyone, really. I'll believe Michigan has hired Randy Shannon as a DC six months after it's announced, but that's what this plan requires: hiring Randy goddamn Shannon as DC at a million a year.
We have one just like it. It's called the Cooper Years. If Hoke leaves, do a video like this (one from a William Callahan that used to work here):
Despite Coop's issues, and there were many, he did not destroy the program, like Callahan did at Nebraska and the combo of Hoke and Dickrod did at Michigan. We have one just like it. It's called the Cooper Years.
Coop did a lot more than just not destroy the program. I think that Earle was a great coach. But, what he was not the best at, in my opinion anyway, was recruiting. That's not to say he didn't get his share of studs, and the recruiting game was certainly different then, but... Earle could turn a 2 star kid into a 5 star stud much more consistently than Coop (which is to say, ever).Despite Coop's issues, and there were many, he did not destroy the program, like Callahan did at Nebraska and the combo of Hoke and Dickrod did at Michigan.
