Brady "XLLL" Hoke (Head Coach San Diego State)

PR move or not, the kid loved it. My wife was a pediatric oncology nurse at Nationwide Children's Hospital and during her time there Jim Tressel would roam the floors visiting the kids. He requested that his visit shouldn't be announced, no cameras, no news crews, and no staff to interrupt his time with the kids and their families.

Character: What you do when think nobody is looking.

He took time before the biggest game of his season. He didn't have to do that. He could have grabbed the kid, turned around for the photo and left. He didn't. He could have given a nod to the parents, said, "hey, sorry, but I'm really busy," and given them one quick shot, but he didn't.

Kindness needs no apology and it certainly calls for respect. Thanks, Coach.

Go Bucks!
