Brady Quinn (Fox CFB Analyst)

How good are the Irish without Quinn?

As good I suspect as Wolke (who is listed at 2-deep as the backup).

How good is Wolke? Well, we may never really know this season. In part because of the Irish' defensive woes they have always needed their number 1 QB under center. Wolke has had limited PT, he only produced stats in the Pittsburgh and Purdue games, though he had mop-up duty in all except the contests versus the 2 Michigan schools and USC.

Just wondering, another Columbus/Dublin, Ohio prospect that got away.

Like daddyphatsacs said - Quinn was always wanting to go to the Irish. Not only did this fit his heritage, it also provided him a likelier opportunity for early PT. In Columbus it would have been a 3-way race with Zwick & Smith.

I just reviewed the OUS-MSU stats and re-cap and until they screwed up at the end of the half OSU had it's hand full.

MSU, as we all know, in fact had a lead and a chance to really stretch it until the Ohio State defense made a big play, which had the effect of a 10 point swing on what might have been.

Having said that, so what? The fact is that Ohio State blew MSU away, ND got beaten.

Also, Chief, TG05, I'm with the "who cares" crowd.

It's Michigan week!

I'd imagine they would probably have one more loss but would still be ranked in the top 10. This is Notre Dame we're talking about. If they have a winning record the red carpet should be laid out and they should get an honorary spot in the top 10.

makes me sick
