In February the crowds shouldn't be too bad. If you order a steak make sure it's cooked (they like to serve their steaks bloody). Jambom a et fromage is your friend (ham and cheese). We were in the city of lights in April... Heck of a good time.... Enjoy.... (Napoleon's apartment in the louve is a must), if at all possible don't let your wife near champs ?lys?es...

Finally booked our flights for a 10-day jaunt to Florida. Going to go hang out with the senior citizens on Sanibel Island for a week.

Edit: Heck, you will only be 4 hours from Glacier National Park. Also a kick @ss place to go (brown trout as big as your leg, crystal clear water, fantastic hikes, etc).

We're flying out.

We're going to Glacier National Park for a few days. We're all really excited about that. Also, going rafting on the Salmon River.

Thanks for the Bear Tooth Highway suggestion.

Don't eat meat so this was not a problem for me.

Paris was actually nice and I enjoyed it. We didn't spend a lot of time there on the five day weekend but we toured the city and ate some good food. Did a bus tour and walked around different things we wanted to see. I liked it enough to plan another visit when my children are older. I'd like to spend two or three weeks there in the future.

Also went to Disney Paris. Wasn't really our thing. It was midterm for France and England and we didn't know. There were ridiculous lines everywhere.
My wife was all in and all about being at a Disney park until the Disney's hotels dinner. They charged us 30 Euro per adult, drinks were not included. Kids were cheaper but we still paid 96 Euro for dinner. The buffet was nothing but shitty army quality food. My wife is cheap and after that buffet she became the anti-Disney.

Any of you guys done a couples trip to the Caribbean? I have no clue what I'm doing. Looking to leave in late July or early August, and go for around 5 days.

General price range leaving from Columbus? Favorite island to stay? Things to look out for?

If you aren't going down into the Grand Canyon, I would emphasize that the view from the top is very overrated. It is a giant hole in the ground.

If you are just going to drive up to the landmarks and hop out for 20-60 min, I would strongly suggest adding Bryce Canyon and Zion National Forest to your trip.

Together the three make for an interesting blend. The grand Canyon is a massive hole in the ground, Bryce Canyon is a gigantic but smaller gorge with really interesting rock formations and colors, and Zion is a unique drive through the bottom of sharp rock formations. Zion was my favorite of the three, followed by Bryce. I did not go down into the Grand Canyon which naturally would be a totally different experience.

Also try to rent a car with a sunroof or better yet a convertible to fully enjoy Zion.

Going to Lake Havasu for Spring Break (at the same time as Arizona State, Texas, etc.) and pretty sure I won't have much trouble finding the fun :biggrin: However, I am curious if there are any restaraunts or microbrew-type places worth going around there?

Was in Vegas last Sept. and hadn't been there is 6 years. Vegas has gotten better! I like staying in hotels served by the Monorail. It makes getting around easier. No car rental. Shows are great. I'd go back soon.
