BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2024, Current Champion = MD Buckeye again)

As of now there isn't a minimum innings pitched. Did we want to add one? If so how many? I'll leave it up to a vote.

Can select from 0 up to 80 innings
I think there should be a minimum innings pitched set so that a team can’t throw an inning or two from a reliever and then sit their pitchers to win ERA, WHIP, and K/9. It doesn’t have to be very high, but I would say two full games or 18 innings would suffice.

I’d say you have to have one and we’ve been as high as 27 iirc.

Anything less than that makes starters essentially worthless. You just run out a bunch of good middle relievers and closers to dominate every category except wins.

(Not that I e ever done that or anything)

Last year, we didn’t have a minimum, and this is exactly what I did. Didn’t work.

18. Best blend of requiring some starting pitching, but the ability to rely heavily on relievers if that is your preferred strategy. Plus 18 was Marv’s number and you can’t go wrong with including Marv for justifying anything! Haha

Last year was different because it was roto scoring so we didn’t have minimums. We actually had a maximum number of innings pitched and games played to keep everyone on a level playing field and prevent players from accumulating too many stats.
