BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2024, Current Champion = MD Buckeye again)

Okay, it's now a 6x6 roto with the same categories. With roto, scoring starts the day after the draft. I'm moving the draft to Monday April 1st (title game of March Madness is Monday April 8th). Scoring would begin April 2nd and finish on Sunday September 1st.

That gives us a five-month season. The only thing left to determine are max games of position players and max innings pitched in a season. I've currently set them at 150 games (basically 30 per month) for position players and 1500 innings (10 per day, 30 days per month, for 5 months). If you're not familiar with Yahoo roto the games played and innings pitched are tracked at the bottom of your team page, so you'll know when you've hit a particular limit for the season. Once hit, that position can't score anymore.

These can all be changed, along with position types, so if you have thoughts let's hear them. I think the poll thread can be closed now, so we're not having these discussions in two places.

150 games per position player sounds reasonable and allows for some use of bench guys for off days. At first glance, 1500 innings seemed a little light, but when considering starting pitchers don’t go as deep in games anymore, I think you landed on a good number.

Being anal about numbers I calculated the exact length of the season to be 153 days.

Should we go with 153 games and 1530 innings or leave as is? I'm feeling I need to change it, because anal about numbers.
Won’t there be four days off for the all-star break? Or did you factor that into your calculations? :slappy:
