BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2024, Current Champion = MD Buckeye again)

I've got two players that don't qualify for the positions they currently play now. James Outman has played 5 games in CF but only qualifies for the generic OF position, and Brice Turang has played 5 games at 2B, but only qualifies at SS, a position he's never played before.

It's five starts or 10 total appearances at a position. I've got a guy who has been playing 2B and CF, sometimes both in the same game, but he's still just "OF" at this time. It will eventually be updated.

My team looks ok so far but i'm sure the barrage of injuries is coming. Think at one point last year like half my roster was on the IL.

Speaking of injuries, I was happy to see this morning that Eloy Jimenez is getting his first IL stint out of the way early this season.

Embarrassingly, I’d never heard of the hold before this endeavor. Having said that, the hold is, without a doubt, the dumbest fucking stat in the history of sports. Not only does it suck, but it reeks of participation trophy, and I abhor participation trophies. :getout:

They gotta give glory to random relievers somehow I guess.

Relievers should be measured by % of inherited runners allowed to score. That's it. That's their job.
I calculate that a middle reliever can have an ERA of 135.00 and a WHIP of 18.00 and still get a hold. More importantly, the middle reliever is typically brought in for a distinct matchup advantage and doesn’t have to get the final out of the inning, let alone the final out of the game. Get a real job!

The best feeling is when one of yours comes in, gets shelled, never records and out and racks up "INF" on era and whip
