BP 2.0 emoticons

Apologies if this has already been discussed or mentioned elsewhere - did we lose all the team and conference-specific emoticons with the upgrade? Will they be coming back?

@jwinslow should be able to meaningfully address that. We may be rolling out new ones in their place, I'm not 100% sure where we left it. Obviously we're still 'under construction' here and there.

They should be back. We need to find a way to have different pages of emoticons. There was an add on but not for this version and we prefer to avoid unsupported third party stuff anyway.

The problem is that every smiley shows up full size so conference logos and bigger animations take up too much real estate in the smiley window.

It is under construction but not abandoned.

BTW, when I click on the current smilies, one comes up as a missing picture - mousing over it says its Sad2.

I'll put it on the to-do list when things settle down a bit. is definitely coming back also. It doesn't work on purpose You can't sort the smileys, they are listed in the order they are added. So a slappy smiley would appear at the end of the heads.

Might be a dumb question, but I'm using the stock android browser ( gingerbread) and I don't remember the option for smilies not appearing when replying. Is that normal of just my horribly antiquated phone?

No excuse for that and you are guaranteed to have qwirky compatibility & formatting issues with that ugly thing.

I normally use Dolphin and not the stock browser,but there is an issue between Dolphin and the site software that doesn't let the keyboard pop up when pressing the text field. Till that's fixed( Dolphin issue according to Deety and Clarity) I'm stuck with the stock browser for BP. Chrome doesn't work on older phones and I don't like the mobile version of Firefox. I'm just looking at it as a good excuse to upgrade to a new,better phone!
