Boy found in Uzbekistan after eight years of animal existence

TASHKENT, March 1 (RIA Novosti) - A teenager has been found in Uzbekistan's mountainous region eight years after he was reported missing in 1998, local prosecutors said Thursday.


"The boy acts like a wild animal. He is afraid of everything, cannot speak and only makes snarling sounds," prosecutors said, adding that he was found by road construction workers.

But I digress - If there is a prosecutor, there is a suspect. If there is a suspect, there is a crime, if there is a crime what was it? So the road crew is involved somehow. I suppose the boy-wonder was, like buzzards do, eating road kill and got side-swiped. The road crew found him in the ditch and took him to see Deliverance. Hell, last time that happened to me all I could do was make snarling sounds for about a month and I was afraid to cross the street!

If I lived in Uzbekistan -- and I've been there -- I'd rather live in the wild too. I'm not sure how they can tell the difference between growling and the local language either (some strange concoction of russian and arab.)
